Fight Night: Breakfast Brawl 1

All organiser decisions are final, and will be made with an emphasis on minimising drama.

Signing Up and Arranging Matches
Registration closes 1 hour before the tournament starts, at which point Check In will be open. You need to BOTH Register before the tournament starts (do it now!) AND THEN click on Check In when you log in to play. The final number of rounds will be decided by how many people are CHECKED IN.

Round 1 will be seeded based on 1v1 OS, so if you're new your first game or two will probably be tough. However, in a Swiss format you're never eliminated and will have more even matches as the tournament progresses, so DON'T LEAVE IF YOU LOSE.

Map Pool
Once registration closes, the organiser will select the map all players will play for each round by using the !roll command in a public lobby. Based on a poll of Fight Night Masters League players, the pool will be selected from the following maps:
1. Pools of Ilys
2. Gasbag Grabens
3. Archsimkats Valley
4. High Noon
5. Mariposa Island
6. Devil's Postpiles
7. Cirolata
8. Feast of Hades
9. Heartbreak Hill
10. Isidis Crack
11. Eternal Consequences
12. Argent Strata
13. Hades Ponds
14. Eye of Horus

Repeated maps will be re-rolled. In future Breakfast Brawls, maps from the most recent Brawl will also be re-rolled.

Matches
Server Settings

• Players may agree to a private or public lobby, but must share the password with any streamers who are casting if the lobby is private.
• Players may agree to host a game on any server to minimise input lag.
• If there is a disagreement, set the server to private and host on a server in neither player's home region that ensures the most similar amount of lag.
• East Asia and Australia count as the same region.

Lobby Settings

• Turn off Custom 'Unit Control' Widgets and Commands While Paused.
• Players can agree on whether the game will be Ranked.
• Players can agree to use Team or Custom preset with Team Size set to 1, or the Tourney preset.
• If there is a disagreement, use the Tourney preset and turn on Ranked.

Streaming

• Casters must set a 3 minute delay.
• Players streaming their POV are encouraged to have the same delay, but it is not compulsory.
• Players without a stream delay MUST NOT join and spectate other tournament games.

Winner's Reward

• You get to rename this account https://server4.beyondallreason.info/profile/54360/. You can think about it for as long as you want before you tell me what I'm changing the name to, just bear in mind the following point.

• The new name stays until the next Breakfast Brawl when someone else can win the naming rights for my account, or for a minimum of a week after I make the change AND I have beaten 5 different 1v1 opponents with your chosen name.

• Code of Conduct obviously applies - e.g. no impersonation, politics or discrimination - but otherwise anything goes. The mod team might get a ticket to check that it's fine before the change.

Rule Changes
This is a bit of an experiment, the main goal is to have a simple, fun tournament in a timezone that doesn't get a lot of attention. If people have suggestions to help with this (map pool, format, other prize ideas etc), we can make changes now or in future versions. If this somehow gets popular enough to have a prize fund, we'll think about rules for how that's paid out. We will also tighten up the rules for lobby settings and stream delays to match standards in official tournaments.
